Robert grew up listening to Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Benny Goodman. He tried the clarinet for a while and realized he was better at playing the turntable than a musical instrument. He loves soccer but enjoys watching baseball. Live basketball games blow him away and he is always amazed by the level of human achievement that can be accomplished with both divine talent, passion and discipline.

By the time he was 11, the Who’s Tommy was the first rock record to convey to him that artists have the ability to share the truth of their hearts and souls with the entire world. This rock concept album is a masterpiece of storytelling. Tommy could not hear, speak or see. Despite these challenges, he found his voice through the mastery of pinball – Some would say like a wizard because his skills were so magical. Pinball is a beautiful metaphor for managing the chaos in life.

Some of Robert’s favorite albums, growing up, were Pink Floyd – Meddle, Genesis – The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Yes – Fragile, Rush – 2112, Neil Young – Decade. Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Muddy Waters and Rolling Stones were favorites in college.

Robert graduated from the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant shortly thereafter. He was involved with the Georgia Society of CPAs and soon became president of the Atlanta chapter of the society. Through that involvement he volunteered and ended up serving on the GSCPA state accounting ethics committee for ten years. He is currently serving on the Management of an Accounting Practice Advisory Council.  Robert has also been a guest panelist at the North American Law Summit, as well as National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He has also served on the entertainment industry committee for the TJ Martel Foundation and has continued to support its efforts with cancer research.
